Mountain Designs Wellington are as excited to be involved with Specifics Training Group as we are about encouraging New Zealanders into the great outdoors. We have a long and proud history of equipping people from all walks of life for adventure.

The management team of Dave Stewart and Paul Cass are passionate about the outdoors, and have a great deal of experience in the field, from day walks and trail running right through to multi day tramping and mountaineering.

Mountain Designs Wellington carries all the equipment for you to enjoy every aspect of the outdoors in safety and comfort. Our brand has over 35 years experience in providing quality, affordable equipment.
We carry a wide range of international brands such as Mammut, Zamberlan, Petzl, Salomon and Black Diamond, as well as our own Mountain Designs brand, which is designed by us with New Zealand and Australian conditions first and foremost in mind.

From casual walking shoes to boots to climb that glacier, from daypacks to multi day rucksacks, we cover all bases to help you get the most out of your outdoor experience.

SO Bar & Cafe is your northern suburbs largest Cafe, Bar & Event Centre. We have created an environment to suit you and any event you would love to share with us. Along with our Restaurant, Bar, Night Club, plus event area upstairs, we also have regular entertainment to give you a great night out.

Monday: KIDS EAT FREE Treat your wee one to a meal at So Bar. Their main meal is free when any adult main meal is purchased. Only available until 7pm.

Wednesday: It’s Quiz Night and so much fun. Get a team together and test your general knowledge against other teams. So Vouchers for 1st place $100, 2nd place $50 & last place $20. Starts at 7.30pm

Friday: YAY it’s Friday so we have $5* House Wine, Tap Beer or House Spirit 9-11pm and $3* glass of bubbles 6-11pm. Then stay on to dance the night away to music from the 70s, 80s, 90s & 2000’s. Plus come in to try your luck at Spin the Wheel. You could win a free round on us. 5.30-6.30 and 7.30-8.30 *Not available for functions

Saturday: Saturday means one thing at So, LIVE MUSIC. We have fantastic live music every Saturday night and a great variety of top Wellington musicians so there is something to suit everyone.

The highly trained staff along with these high-tech devices will find you the best fitting shoe for your needs and help to minimize your risk of injury while training and competing.

With few retailers supporting or offering specialized categories catering to the multisport/endurance community, Shoe Clinic North City would like to develop a strong relationship with the Specifics Training group to ensure that all of your training and competition footwear needs are met.
