My fundamental philosophy around personal training is to work hard towards making a difference in people's lives and to help them achieve their goals and dreams. Some examples include losing weight, taking on a first event, whether a 5km race or an Ironman. To coach them, to train them, to motivate them, to believe in them. These are the fundamental and basic principles to successful personal training.
I have been in the fitness industry for the past 8years. Over the past few years and since participating in competitive events I have been approached by individuals seeking guidance and mentoring. I have strengths and knowledge that have developed into a long term career in personal training.
I have been coaching with Shane for about 2 years now, so let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I started Competitive swimming at an early age. I was selected for the ‘Top Ten’ Regional competition for the 10 to 12 age groups.
Later with my competitive swimming, I swam in the SNZ Monthly National Distance competition for the top 10 Woman’s Open group. This was the talent scout programme for National representatives. I consistently achieved 6th or 7th fastest, and on the odd occasions achieving 4th and 5th fastest woman. I achieved better results with the 800m and 1500m distances. My specialty strokes were Back Stroke and Butterfly.
My name is Jeff Aukuso, I have an extensive background in competitive sport and I am passionate about health, fitness, and helping people to achieve their goals.
Currently I work for Wellington Free Ambulance as a qualified Paramedic and have been a Volunteer Fireman with the Newlands Volunteer Fire Bridge for over 3 years.
I have a background in competitive swimming, where I competed at both age group level and open level, and have trained with top international coaches. At age group level I won several medals in the Auckland Age Group Champs including a 1st placing for 50m freestyle; and when competing in New Zealand Age Group level, I made several top 8 finishes including gaining a 3rd placing for 100m backstroke.
